DC Studios’ Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow, is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia, with production scheduled to run through August 21, 2026. The film stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, alongside Nicholas Hoult and Lars Eidinger.
Atlanta has become one of the primary US production hubs for major studio tentpoles, and the Superman sequel continues a pattern of Georgia-based production for large-scale superhero projects. The shoot began in late April 2026 and has been running through the summer.
Man of Tomorrow is directed by James Gunn, who is co-running DC Studios alongside Peter Safran as part of Warner Bros.’ broader relaunch of its DC film universe. The film is set for a theatrical release on July 9, 2027 — a date it moved to after A Quiet Place Part III shifted to July 30.
For Georgia-based crew, the production is one of the largest domestic shoots active this summer. With Atlanta also hosting Scooby-Doo: Origins simultaneously, the city is carrying a significant share of US studio production through August.
