Job Title: Video ProducerReports To: (Direct Report): Digital DirectorSalary: $65,000 - $75,000 Workweek: 35(+) HoursPOSITION OVERVIEWThe New Jersey Senate Majority Office (SMO) seeks a skilled Video Producer to spearhead the production and distribution of video content across social media platforms and media outlets. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing the digital footprint of the Senate Democratic Caucus to amplify its messages and legislative objectives across the state. The successful candidate must be able to operate within a fast-paced environment, excel in capturing footage, craft narratives, swiftly edit videos, produce photographs, and collaborate with a dedicated communications team to ensure timely dissemination. Regular travel across New Jersey will be required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Film video content, encompassing on-location, studio shoots, and press conferences.· Edit content using Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite, meeting tight deadlines.· Produce and edit photographs.· Create engaging graphics to enhance video content.· Distribute content across various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.· Assist in scheduling and coordinating shoots across diverse locations in New Jersey.· Collaborate with the communications team to implement digital media strategies. QUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.· Knowledge and experience with DSLR Cameras.· Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.· Familiarity with New Jersey state government. SCHEDULEThe SMO’s operating hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm. This position will require occasional nights and weekends as needed. This position is based in Trenton, NJ. Reliable transportation is essential.
