Part-Time Short-Form Video Editor (In-Person) — Austin, TX (Near UT Austin)Location: In-person, near The University of Texas at Austin (West Campus / Central Austin) Schedule: Part-time (10–30 hrs/week), flexible around class/work schedules Type: hourly Start: ASAPAbout the RoleWe’re looking for a part-time short-form video editor to help turn raw footage into scroll-stopping content for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and social ads. You’ll work closely with our team in person near UT to edit fast, iterate quickly, and ship consistently.Sports editing experience is a bonus (highlights, hype cuts, game-day energy), but not required.What You’ll DoEdit short-form videos (15–60 seconds) optimized for TikTok/IG Reels/YouTube ShortsCreate tight, engaging cuts with strong pacing, hooks, and retention-driven structureAdd captions, sound design, music, motion graphics, b-roll, and quick punch-in zoomsRepurpose longer content into multiple short clips and variationsCollaborate in person on feedback rounds and rapid turnaroundsKeep projects organized (naming, exports, versioning, templates)What We’re Looking ForStrong short-form editing instincts: pacing, comedic timing, emphasis, story beatsProficiency with Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve (any is fine—show us you can deliver)Comfortable with caption styles, social-native formats, and platform trendsReliable, communicative, and able to take feedback without egoAble to work in person near UT Austin on a regular rhythmBonus PointsSports content experience (highlights, recruiting edits, workouts, hype trailers)Motion graphics skills (After Effects templates, basic animation, tracking)Experience with creator content, podcasts, or “talking head” editsBasic color correction + audio cleanupDeliverables & ExpectationsTurnaround: often same dayYou’ll be given footage, context, and examples—then you’ll help us raise the barPayCompetitive hourly pay based on experience, speed, and quality.
