Location: NYC (In-person) • Type: Paid Internship (stipend) • Duration: ~3 monthsFor the right candidate, this internship offers a pathway to a full-time role.This role is perfect for a motivated undergrad/recent grad who wants to learn by doing and build a real portfolio of meaningful creative work.Meela is reimagining how older adults are supported through everyday connection. We’ve built a phone-based AI companion that brings intelligent, emotionally attuned conversation to the people who need it most - those often left behind by traditional tech.What You'll Do:Mission: Help us craft how the world sees and understands Meela. You will fully own Meela’s social content end-to-end, including:Strategy & Planning: Set the social strategy, build the content calendar, and identify themes that bring Meela’s mission to life.Creative Ideation: Generate campaign ideas and storytelling concepts that highlight Meela’s real-world impact on seniors, families, and care communities.Hands-On Creation: Produce content across formats - video, photography, graphics, and written posts. You’ll write copy, film, edit, design, and package content for each platform.Execution & Publishing: Take each project from concept → draft → feedback → final edits → launch.Brand Stewardship: Ensure all content reflects Meela’s voice, story, and values with clarity and consistency across platforms.Creative Ownership: This is not an assistant role - you’ll have significant autonomy to shape Meela’s public presence and test new creative ideas.Partner closely with the founding team to craft narratives, spotlight user stories, and build a human, trustworthy brand.What we're looking for:Demonstrated experience creating and managing content (social media, writing, video, or other creative projects).Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills.A self-starter who loves creative ownership and can drive a project from idea to completion without micromanagement.Genuine interest in Meela’s mission and the intersection of care, technology, and human connection.Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where initiative and adaptability matter.Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g. Canva, Figma) and image & video editing platformsNice to haves:Internship or work experience in a startup, media, or communications settingMatriculated at a competitive academic institutionExposure to healthcare, aging, or tech through coursework or personal interestExperience coordinating with contributors or managing cross-functional creative project
