We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and hands-on Social Media Content Manager to lead all social media and content initiatives across our client’s brand. This role owns the full content lifecycle: strategy, creation, publishing, and analytics. The Social Media Content Manager works closely with the marketing team to ensure social media is fully aligned with broader marketing, brand, and business goals.If you’re someone who loves building a social media presence from strategy through execution, thrives in a fast-paced environment, stays on top of trends, and enjoys being behind & in front of the camera, apply today!Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy + PlanningDevelop and execute a comprehensive social media and content strategy aligned with company marketing objectives.Own the full social ecosystem: Instagram, Facebook/Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms.Build, maintain, and manage a monthly content calendar, including post planning, scheduling, and trend forecasting.Content Creation + ProductionCapture and produce high-quality video, photo, and short-form content for all platforms.Attend onsite events, facilities, and content shoots around Metro Detroit to create timely, engaging content.Utilize creative tools to edit videos, graphics, and reels using platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, CapCut, and other industry-standard tools.Stay updated on viral sounds, social trends, platform changes, and emerging content formats.Channel Management + EngagementManage daily posting, publishing, and optimization across all social media channels.Respond to comments, messages, DMs, and community engagement in a timely and brand-consistent manner.Maintain brand voice, consistency, and messaging across all content.Analytics + ReportingTrack performance metrics across all channels using tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar.Analyze data to understand what’s working and why, adjusting strategy as needed.Build reports and presentations for leadership and marketing teams showcasing insights, trends, and strategic recommendations.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience managing and leading corporate social media and content strategy within a marketing team. NOT content creators for UGC or personal brands.Proven ability to create engaging content across video, photo, and written formats.Strong working knowledge of Sprout Social or similar scheduling/analytics platformsAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Canva, or comparable toolsVideo editing and basic motion graphics skillsExperience operating cameras, lighting, audio or other production equipment.Ability to travel regularly throughout Metro Detroit for content capture, events, and on-site shoots.Exceptional understanding of current social trends, best practices, and platform algorithms.Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality content and successful social campaigns.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting or collaborating with a marketing team on integrated campaigns.Understanding of brand guidelines, storytelling, and audience segmentation.Experience managing influencer relationships or user-generated content programs (optional).What We’re Looking ForA creator with initiative—someone who brings ideas and takes ownership.A storyteller who knows how to turn brand moments into compelling content.A trend-spotter who moves fast and adapts quickly.A detail-oriented operator who can balance creativity with data and strategy.
