This position is critical to our business, and an ideal candidate not only requires a baseline knowledge of soccer, but a broad cultural, geographic, and political consciousness.Script WriterLocation: United States, RemoteWhat You’ll DoCreate well-thought-out scripts in the voice and tone of the hosts on the Men in Blazers media network, staying consistent with our brandConduct research to gather information and insights on relevant soccer news, events, and personalities. Stay on top of emerging topics and trends related to soccer, and find ways to incorporate them into the Men in Blazers media network. Collaborate with leadership and production team in preparation of interviews to ensure final versions of scripts are greenlit for broadcast.Conduct pre interviews with guests to support research process What You NeedA Bachelor's degree, ideally in English, journalism, communications, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in writing scripts for podcasts, TV Shows, movies, or speeches.A broad cultural, geographic, and political consciousnessAn ability to write effectively in someone else's voiceAn excellent sense of humor and a knack for weaving humor, insight, and soccer-related topics into writing, while also being able to reference a well stocked mental libraryA demonstrated ability to work around (very) tight deadlines to deliver scriptsHigh level of communication skillsWillingness to move off the ball to assist other team membersFlexibility to be available during stoppage time, when necessaryEmpathy - Passion - Courage - love of FootballMen In Blazers LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
