Job Title
Reporting directly to the Director of Communications and Media Relations, responsible for the development, design, and management of multi-media projects for Williamson County. Provides assistance to various departments on media production and communication needs.Creates and produces multi-media such as videos, photos, and graphics for various county departmentsCoordinates and monitors media projects including planning, scheduling, filming, editing, and distributing of media contentProvides professional graphic design and drone video/photography services utilizing graphic design and editing software systemsCreates infographics, motion graphics, logos, banners, and social media graphics and maintains related file librariesDistributes media and visual content to various media outlets and platforms for public viewingDrafts and develops media concepts and scriptsCreates brochures, flyers, newsletters, programs, maps, and other printed materials as needed and works with printers to have pieces printedMaintains all A/V (audio/visual) equipment including the coordinating of repairs, conducting equipment evaluations, and researching new products and digital softwarePhotographs various county facilities and eventsEnsures and monitors county wide compliance of branding standards and logo useCollaborates with department leadership on budgetary needs for obtaining new media and A/V equipmentCreates and compiles weekly, monthly, and annual statistic reports for Public Affairs Office including compiling various reports of media usePerforms related tasks associated with department court agenda items as neededParticipates in emergency response and recovery for events such as floods, storms, tornadoes, and other natural and man-made disasters with informational contentAttends all meetings and trainings, as requiredPerforms special duties as assignedORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPSReports directly to – Director of Communications and Media RelationsDirect Reports – NoPHYSICAL DEMANDSPosition involves frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, heavy lifting, and operating equipment Position involves safely operating a motor vehicleENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSWork is primarily indoors with occasional work outdoors for eventsTravel between work sites, as requiredIRREGULAR HOURSWork outside of the normal office hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is required to cover special events and emergenciesMay be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergencyRegular attendance is requiredThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
