Role Summary
The Editor is responsible for turning raw footage into captivating visual narratives. This role combines technical expertise with creative instinct, shaping story, tone, and rhythm across a wide range of content types—from social assets to long-form brand or entertainment work. The ideal candidate brings both speed and storytelling depth, collaborating with creative stakeholders to elevate each piece.
Core Responsibilities
Editorial Craft & Execution
Edit commercials, branded content, social media assets, trailers, and long-form pieces.
Shape narrative flow, pacing, and emotion to enhance story impact.
Integrate sound, music, and visual elements to deliver polished edits.
Collaborate with motion graphics, VFX, and post teams for seamless integration.
Creative Development
Work closely with directors, creatives, and producers to interpret scripts and concepts.
Contribute editorial POVs during ideation and pre-production.
Adapt efficiently to feedback while maintaining creative integrity.
Technical Operations
Organize media, timelines, and deliverables using best practices.
Ensure output quality across formats and platforms.
Stay updated on editing tools, plugins, and workflow enhancements.
Troubleshoot post issues and streamline handoffs between departments.
Speed & Quality
Deliver under tight timelines without sacrificing attention to detail.
Maintain clear file management and version tracking.
Conduct thorough QC checks before final export and delivery.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience editing at an agency, studio, or post-production house.
Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
Strong sense of story structure, pacing, and editorial rhythm.
Familiarity with motion graphics workflows and audio mixing basics.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and calm.
An editorial reel showcasing storytelling range and polish is required.
