Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONTITLE: ASSOCIATE VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR/MOTIONOverviewshark&minnow is seeking an entry-level Associate Videographer, Editor and Producer to join our fast-growing team. We are a strategy and design consultancy whose purpose is to serve as a catalyst for change in business and marketing and a disruptive force in creativity and innovation. We make the complex simple. We are looking for a visual media producer with strong skills and a passion for storytelling via high quality video content. This individual will shoot, edit and deliver content, commercials, social media, behind the scenes features, etc. The role supports day-to-day management and execution of all video powered by our Design and Content departments. You will be creating and coordinating the execution of all video projects, working with a team of creativeprofessionals dedicated to creating impactful content for our clients. As part of a consultancy that is growing, this person must demonstrate a collaborative working style, great communication skills, a sense of inward motivation and urgency as well as the ability to thrive in a non-corporate environment focused on innovation. This position requires a creative talent with a proven ability to build marketing systems. Simply stated, if you’re a creative problem solver with a passion for creativity, technology and digital experiences, we should talk.Minimum Requirements & QualificationsMinimum of Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Film, Television, Broadcast, Audio, Media, Audio, Motion & Sound or similar)Less than three (3) years of video experienceThorough knowledge of the entire production workflow, including pre-production, audio and video recording, lighting, studio environments, editing, and content deliveryExperience with industry leading camera systems and workflowsExperience with interchangeable lens camerasExperience with advanced camera support systems including sliders and gimbalsExperience with shooting video in a cinematic styleExperience shooting photography (i.e. headshots, lifestyle)Experience with professional lighting, grip and audio equipmentMust demonstrate strong and fluent editorial techniques through proper timing, pacing, organization, andasset management as well as a command in music and sound editingExperience with non-linear editing systems (e.g Premiere, Final Cut)Experience with motion graphics programs (e.g. After Effects)Experience with audio programs (e.g. ProTools)Experience with design programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign)Experience 3D rendering programs a plusStrong understanding of the latest video compression techniques for webUnderstanding with social media systems (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and video platforms (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)Be self-directed toward excellent work outcomesExcellent discretion & professionalism, demonstrating sound judgmentMust submit a strong portfolio or demo reel showing a variety of video content that clearly demonstrates capabilities (please include link in resume or cover letter)Ability to travel occasionallyRoles & ResponsibilitiesVideo Content: You are a passionate visual storyteller and are proficient in: o Shooting, Editing and Delivering:High quality video contentExtensive behind-the-scenes contentInnovative social media contentPersuasive broadcast commercialsEngaging digital ads (e.g. YouTube, Facebook or Instagram ads)High-energy brand anthem and sizzle videosDesign Aesthetic and Style: You have the ability to recognize great.
